Best Man

by Bill Turner   Aug 18, 2005

He is wise beyond his years
Knowing what to do and say
He buries his fears
Content to hide them away

He stands by my side
As I will always be there too
I look at him with pride
I hope he feels it too

When I remarry he will be the best man
Not because he is my son
I know many a man
But none like my son

He is the best man I know
Tough as can be
Compassion he does show
I wish I were more like he
