I Saw You Today

by Bryan   Aug 19, 2005

I saw you today,
I heard your heart beat.
You were swinging your hands,
And kicking your feet.

I still don't know,
If you're a boy or a girl.
But whichever it is,
You're half of my world.

The other half's your mommy,
Who right now you're inside.
She loves you real big,
Although she's sick day and night.

They say you'll be here in March,
To see your mommy and daddy.
Things are pretty hectic now,
But by then we'll be ready.

We'll have clothes, toys, and cribs
And plenty of love.
Your daddy's arms to hold you,
And countless kisses and hugs.

Your grandparents will spoil you,
If it's the last thing they do.
When you're old enough to read this,
You'll know that it's true.

I love your mommy,
and she loves me too.
A love so perfect and big,
That it resulted in you.

I saw you today,
I heard your heart beat.
You were swinging your hands,
And kicking your feet.

I fell in love,
All over again.
With the girl on the table,
And the baby within.
