A Glimpse

by Bryan   Apr 11, 2005

Dusting off this pen,
To wrap my soul up in these words.
Coping with my heartbreaks,
Suffering through my hurts.

Writing the memories of my life,
So you can get a glimpse.
Some will make you cry,
Some will make you flinch.

Better to have loved and lost,
To have never loved at all.
Tell that to my heart,
That never recovered from the fall.

I smile to hide the pain I feel,
Every time I take a breath.
Trying hard to forget the past,
Trying to forget your death.

When I lie down to sleep at night,
I still a little prayer.
Baby, I hope they get to you,
I hope that you still care.

When I think of memories of my life,
They always make me flinch.
Consider yourself lucky,
That this was just a glimpse.

The one line, it meant to say " I still say a little prayer" sorry about that.
