Winds Song

by JL   Aug 20, 2005

The wind calls softly
wanting to be heard
she carries everyones secrets
but never mutters a word

It must be such a burden
to know everything
never does she complain
and look all that she brings

She shoos away worry
while carrying hope in her arms
clears the path for a lost traveler;
she helps to raise alarm

Her soothing voice comforts,
gentle to the touch
always willing to help
although she does not receive much

So, the next time she calls
listen to her song
consider how lonely she is
being alone for so long
