Memories

by eternal rest   Aug 22, 2005

Memories.
The blood I’ve bled
The tears I’ve cried.

The happiness
Which I know I’ll never have again.

That love of life,
And the times when laughter was sweet music.

These memories are fading
With the light that was once inside.

The blood stays inside
The tears on my pillow are dried.

Sadness has taken over
Drowning in my once innocent solitude.

When a craving for death
Becomes your only friend.
Laughter is like a needle through the skin.

My memories of happy days
The way things were
My crooked ways.

Dying with the me
I never knew.
