Drink and Drive

The night was horrible, dark and sad
young souls were killed, because of the alcohol they've had

five teens in the car, planning a day of fun
they never would've thought that tonight there life would be undone

they went tubbing that day and drinking alcohol
they were all so happy, having fun and all

on there way home a boy decided to drive
under the influence, there last breath alive

A horrible car accident took place that night
three young souls, taken away in to the light

family and friends filled with pain
some made it through, some went insane

one day here sharing the sunshine and thunder
and the next day they are getting buried six feet under

It could've been you behind that wheel
can you only imagine how that must feel?

driving under the influence will never last
you will crash in to something so very fast

your life will be gone, because of a mistake
so please don't drink and drive for your own god sake

    OH WOW. that was really good. ive been trying to rigth a poem about the same idea as this.. and i kinda did. but it didnt turn out how i wanted. so now that i read yours.. i think im gonna try again.. cuz that really touched me.. since ive lost someone becasue of drinking and driving.. so yeah. that was amazing and really good. congratulations!
