You're like my sister

by Kayla Sonya Dearing   Aug 24, 2005

You helped me when I couldn't go on.
When I wanted to lay in my blood you were there.
When I needed someone
You were there.

But now,
I want to be here for you,
I want to return the favor,
But you won't let me.

Your like my sister,
The one that knew how I felt,
How to make me feel better,
I want to help you.

But you won't let me help
You act as if you don't want me to care.
As if you want me to turn my back away.

I can't
Leave you
Can't stand to watch you be like this.

Its as if
I'm here in the warm
And you're in the cold,
I'm trying to bring you in from out there,
But you won't come.

Let me bring you from the cold
Into the warm,
Sit you next to the fire place and make you hot cocoa.

Let your boyfriend
Care for you
Let him be there for you
Not you be for him.

You have been there for us too long.
And now we want to return the favor.

Jessica,
I'm hoping you will knock on the door,
Asking if you can come in.
I'll bring you in and make you warm and be here for you when ever you need me.

Just because
Your like my sister.
