You Are the Only One...

You are the only one that knows,
How it feels to keep loosing your way,
And to the world you’re completely exposed,
Walking further away and becoming more astray.

You are the only one that can see,
Streams of tears falling down your face,
The broken heart that sits inside of me,
When on the outside there’s no trace.

You are the only one that can smell,
The horrid scent of a past mistake,
Over powered by perfumes to try and repel,
The odour of what you want to be fake.

You are the only one that can hear,
Your innermost cries,
Brought to life by your secret fear,
It’s like the world is against you, spreading lies.

You are the only one that can feel,
A never-ending excruciating pain,
A heart that will never heal,
From flaws that create a permanent stain.

You are the only one, who can make a difference,
Although it’s sometimes hard to do,
And may not make much sense,
If you’re loosing hope, please don’t give up, just start anew.
