The Resolute/Tormented's End

by Aidyn   Aug 29, 2005

Note--This poem is meant to be read through very slowly, to imagine everything clearly.

On the shoals
Of an Ocean
I lie in wait
Expectant
Of a purpose
Some force
Some strange force
Pushes
Pulls
Like the waves
Of water, blue
Of sea foam, grey
With the coming and going
Of warmth
Of cold
Of numb
With the soft,
Rising, waning
Mournful calls
Of the gulls
Wheeling overhead
With the start
And the stop
Of a cool northern breeze
With the taste of salt
At the edges
Of my mouth
Of my eyes
I let my senses fall
Relax
In my Ocean of tears
On the shoals of Purgatory
I watched (y[ou)r]self die.

A continuation on my series "The Fallen". Other installments include
"The Misjudged", "The Fragile", and "The Tormented/The Fugitive"

Hmm...That was different and yet I really liked it. It's almost something I remember reading before though not as a poem. Still cool job. By the way thanks for pointing that out on Suicidal Phone Call, I spaced and forgot to add those things to make the points of view more prominent. I love the word choice in this piece.
