Let Go

by blackheartinlove   Aug 29, 2005

The infamous,
You don't know what you had,
Until it's gone,
Rings the air with stinging volume,
If only I was smarter,
Maybe it would have stayed,
Piercing my heart with its million words,
I drift into thought once again,
Every last moment,
Decided against me,
Scars so deep I hold on for dear life,
I try to forget the pain,
Your smile destroys my hope,
Of ever finding a way out,
My eyes swell with all the words you never meant,
Slowly dripping from my broken eyes,
I wanted to believe it was never meant,
Meant to hurt like it did,
This dream I lived,
Or so I wish I it was,
Your heart so untouched,
By the powerful force of destruction,
As I drift into thought,
One last time,
I remind myself,
It was just a dream.

Heh. I haven't read your stuff for a while, or written any of my own (due to stupid writers block) for a while, but I'm glad I did.
I like this one, especially the ending.
I'll go read your newer ones now.
