Damned Butterflies

by Lucy Loves Not   Aug 30, 2005

She laughs
Neglect within her voice
She sounds almost happy
Such sickly perversion

Spoiled, rotting at
the core.
She's left me for
another!

Perhaps as she lay
waiting,
a butterfly lulled her
away.

Wishful thinking,
I know.

Echoes ring
throughout my ears;
sweet silence sucks
me dry.
Pain.

Damned butterflies.
If I see one,
I shall pluck off
his wings.

Hmmm, this is interesting! I found it to be intriguing and so different from the usual poetry I come across on this site. Keep it up~Holly
