Time Is Strength

The years are passing on,
Memories begin to fade,
Of all those times we shared,
All those very special days.

Details are going missing,
Some days no longer exist,
Leaving behind old dreams,
Dreams surely to be missed.

From a life of fun and laughter,
To a life of trials and pain,
To leave behind good friends,
Like they were just a game.

Together we stood so strong,
Together we had it all,
Together nothing could hurt us.
Together we stood up tall.

We laughed, we danced, we smiled,
We held each other tight,
We cried, we fought and faced our fears,
Together we made it all right.

I cant remember what happened,
Or maybe Iâ??m just afraid,
Maybe I know but I donâ??t want toâ?¦
Of why it all ended that day.

Maybe I hide it inside me,
Hidden so deep in my heart,
The reason a friendship was broken,
The reason these four friends did partâ?¦

Though I might know what made it end,
Forever Iâ??ll hide it inside,
Iâ??m afraid to feel it again,
What I felt the night that I cried.

Itâ??s time I began to step forward.
And forget how things used to be,
Its time I took all those memories,
And finally set them freeâ?¦

Setting free these memories,
Allowed things to move on,
Slowly these four friends,
Are beginning to get along.

Never will things be the same,
Things forgiven but never forgotten.
But time is strength and so these friends,
Will one day be strong againâ?¦

This is a poem written about three of my best friends and I and how our great friendship one day turned to ruinsâ?¦ I will never forget what we had, and I hope that one day it will come back. Oh yeah, by the wayâ?¦Thomo and me are still best mates, although he was part of this groupâ?¦Love you hunâ?¦And to all my good friends nowâ?¦I love you guys, and youâ??re the best anyone could ask forâ?¦.xoxox
