Goodbye

I wrote a poem that wasn't true
It was how I couldn't stop loving you
But that was before I knew
That I had a choice too

It's taken me all this time
To figure out our hearts don't shine
They're better apart
No longer heart in heart

So this is my own,
My last poem,
about our love
or about how nobody won

Now everybody knows
I still have you to show,
You to tell,
Goodbye Danielle.

    Excellent idea behind the poem, but at times it seems that you are trying to rhyme too much.
