Masks

by Amelia   Sep 8, 2005

I look on the shelf i see three masks which do i wear today?
each different purpose, different look, each affects me in a different way
i have to make sure i wear the mask people expect to see
not the one which emotion is actually affecting me
people see the outside mask but they don't really care
otherwise they'd realize the outside layer isn't all thats there
i got feelings deep down inside that i make sure i keep locked up tight
i don't want people knowing I'm different then the mask thats in sight
there are things you just deal with by putting them in the back of your mind
these things will fade away with the assistance of time
theres no need to take the time to care no need at all to worry
ill keep a happy smile for you and always put it on in a hurry
