Don't you know

by BreatheNoMore   Sep 8, 2005

I can't sing in notes high enough
To communicate the distress I embrace for you
I keep philosophizing that it's going to amend
But you're all I've ever sought to hold on to

So won't you please reconsider?
Perhaps the love is there you just don't know
Won't you please my heart is splintered
And I haven't a medal of injury to show

I am a brick with you evidently
But I'm a boulder without you here
My love such thoughts are getting heavy
And my sense of purpose has disappeared

I can deal with the nonsense, the empty entourage
If I know it means existence at the bottom with you
Because life could be an empty bottle
If I only had you to consume

Don't you know?
You're the atmosphere to me
And the poisons sinking in
But it's not me you want
And I swear
I can't take one breathe without tears
