About Us

by AllHailTheHeartbreaker   Sep 10, 2005

I'm washing dishes
Luke is throwing up
Sadie can't remember what
And Lacie has "grown up".

Mario is drinking milk
That's a few days too old
I'm missing that old Ford
That we just sold.

Life takes a wild turn
And we're going too fast
There's no turning back
What's gone is in the past.

People stare and talk
But they don't know the truth
They simply sit with the money
And label us "troubled youth".

We may be a bit rowdy
Or maybe just plain rough
But no one knows the inside
No one knows about us.

*Written for five foster children from the view of the oldest child...
