Midlife Crisis

by Bradley Peter   Sep 16, 2005

Another moment has passed
a memory has not occurred
as life wastes away
my thoughts become stirred

what are we here to do
if we do nothing at all
even if we do everything
death is all we stall

it is inevitable
that, we cannot change
we do not get to choose
and we do not get to arrange

being dead is my biggest fear
for dying i do not care
but the thought of being no more
is something i do not dare

life is too short
but i try to live in the now
being alive is wonderful
the least it deserves is a wow
