The blind man

by Bradley Peter   Sep 16, 2005

The blind man said to the seeing eye
it seems you persist to waste a gift
for if it wasn't for the view you possess
you wouldn't be a man so swift

the blind man was wiser than he seemed
he's lack of sight had made him smart
for hiss eyes could not lead him wrong
so he wasn't a man led by he's heart

the blind man was a man of many dreams
some dreams he could still pursue
but the dream he had now was to see again
and that dream he could not do

the blind man wished for a day when
for blindness there was a cure
for that was all he really wanted in life
he wanted no less or no more

the blind man spoke of a time when
he had sight, but couldn't see how precious it was
so when asked the simple question why
the blind man simply said because
