I've got something to say
this is about the poem
you wrote that day
I'd like to say thank you
to the guy this goes out to

cause you made my heart jump
you made my heart melt
you showed me a feeling
that I have never felt

you think that I don't like you
but that's not at all true
cause I think that I like you
just not the things that you do

I'd like to get to know you
I'd like for you to see
that I'm not a straight edged freak of a girl
that there's a lot more to me

I may not do drugs
or do the drinking thing
and I'm defiantly not into
the whole one night fling

I'd like to be able to tell you the world
and have you listen
I'd like to spill my heart to you
and see your smile glisten

I know this may sound cheesy
something you may not want to hear
but I need to get it out
before I cry one more tear

I like you in ways I cant seem to explain
but liking you is killing me and bringing me unwanted pain
seeing you hurts me that's why I don't look
this time its my heart that has shook

I've got a favor to ask of you
and its not a small one at that
I'd like if you could show me the feelings that you have
but please don't hurt me like the other guys
show me that you different and make me not want to cry

for once id like to realize that not all guys are the same
and I think that your the guy that can relieve me of all my pain
but I cant be sure if its just a lie
or if that's truly your feelings inside

so please just listen and don't get me wrong
cause for the sake of staying sane id like to get along
I would like to show you that i'm not just a joke
that my values are real
and no longer do I want my heart to be broke
