In Her Sleep

by Katlynn   Sep 18, 2005

She's shivering tonight.
holding her blanket so tight.
she's beginning to turn blue.
she's losing everything inside of her.

the lights don't shine anymore.
as the door closes on her tonight.
as she finally dies.
her last time to cry.

she closes her eyes.
she stops breathing.
she dies inside her body.
and in her room.

her mom goes to wake her up.
the next day.
but she wouldn't move.
her mom pushed away the covers.

and saw the scars.
all over her daughter's body.
her daughter cut herself to death.
and waste away in her sleep.
