The World for Me

by Laurence Hill   Nov 27, 2003

A shining jewel upon a velvet sky
It sits and waits for passers by
When none approach we all do sigh
Oh are we alone in the velvet sky.

The world we live on is a wondrous place
Filled with life of the human race
The birds and animals, fish and plants
All lived together in harmony once.

Now today as we go rushing around
We tend to forget what we are all about
Human or not we should work together
To show this planet can last forever.

The earthquakes and eruptions are all natural things
The life and soul of the party is the one thing we can’t see
Natural selection and movement of the Earth
Give us all timely reminders we must act first

Before the world around us begins to disappear
Let’s help each other get to grips and lessen all the fears
The world must go through a series of natural changes
We must help it get through and save all our futures.
