Life of the Writer

by LadyPearl   Sep 24, 2005

Once my fingers touch that key
images and words reveal to me
the power and joy one can hold
in a poem that a writer beholds

describing in ways an eye could see
a world the way it should truly be
The life of the writer onto paper
sometimes dark and sometimes pure

When angriness and hate fills inside
unto the paper where it can't hide
revealing to the world the feeling you felt
all the events you have dealt

Then the love and joy inside your heart
onto paper it'll never be apart
a memory to keep without an end
something in life that will always stand

    I love being a poet.
anyway you have every down pat so you dont need a 'commoner' to tell you how to do your job.

Love your imagery here, for some reason it conveys rays of sunshine to me. I enjoyed it very much.

Brilliant poem as always! But I don't know if 'paper' and 'pure' rhyme that well. Because paper is a two syllable word and pure is a one syllable word. 5/5
