Breath of Ecstasy

by DMG   Sep 25, 2005

Winter swarms a distant moon
Fall has passed by much too soon
Moonlight cripples in its cast
Frost bitten blood will everlast

Rocks and stones increase their grain
Sight is blurred in this last rain
Drown the lungs of what may be
The last to breathe this ecstasy

Crown with white the winter's birth
That ends the weak and lost on Earth
So goodbye all, and sweet dreams
As what you've read is not what it seems

Wow! This is an awesome piece. The imagery is so vibrant. Your choice of words truly painted the picture so vividly, I could feel the cold air as I read this! Well done~Holly
