Life sure isn't fair

by Bradley Peter   Sep 25, 2005

Today a promise was broken
that shattered a lover's dream
broke the vows that were spoken
so now the lovers scream

the child is a slave
bought and sold at will
he tries to be brave
and imagines it isn't real

a war hero grows old
and so everyone forgets
he was once so bold
but still he has no regrets

the bullied boy cries
as he admits another defeat
tears stream from he's eyes
and the bullies retreat

    This affected me so much.
Because Im put through that each and everyday.
It does get to you, but you have to be strong.
I always thought it were the norm.
    but apparently not.
It was such a touching poem and i thank you
