Searching through Silence

Searching through silence

By: Viki

You close your eyes then the silence starts,
You begin searching and find a hole in your heart

You open your eyes and look around
Everyone is talking and you still can't hear a sound

Familiar faces are flashing by your face
You see an empty space on face has been erased

So you think back before the silence came
But all the faced are still the same

Who can it be lost in my mind?
Searching so hard this might be a sign?

So one by one the silence slowly dies
You hear the world, but sadly your heart still cries

You close your eyes and think back with all your might
The sun falls and the stars cover the night

Once again the faces appear in your mind
But the erased face is just so hard to find

The face appears with tears in her eyes
She can believe you destroyed her face with lies

She speaks to you about the love you once shared.
You tell her I'm sorry I did really care

Now you are ready to give the love and time she needs
But it's too late now it's your time to grieve

Your heart starts to scream when she sings that good by song
Now her love that once filled your heart is forever gone!

You wake up in a cold sweat in vibrant sunbeams.
Your heart is still searching through silence.............
Was it really a dream?

Its something about not being able to speak out, or not being heard, right? I got that feeling when I read it.
I would suggest that you edited the funny symbols that popped up around some of the words, it makes it difficult to read. But the poem had a strange, deep beauty that I liked.

    Good Writing!
