Dead Love

by eternitySOlong   Sep 28, 2005

From the dead the living shall wake
With the choice he could make
Place a rose on my love
Pluck the wings from a dove
Button his tux and cover the bruise
In this game he shall lose
With his eyes shallow and deep
Dead with the promise he couldn't keep
On my shoulders I shall hold
All the stories left untold
Sharpened thorns pierce the skin
Slit with a razor oh-so thin
Poisoned blood runs through dead veins
Broken vases slice the pains
With this shame I shall live
To the dead my breaths would give
Bouquets of withered roses fall from the sky
Landing on the souls destined to die
Behind the alter come the reaper's lies
To the corpse, say your good-byes
Speak foul words to the cold
Let the voids all unfold
Decaying hands folded in place
Binding a mortal fallen from grace
Suppressed now is the life he once lead
Leave the deceit and bury the dead
