Down By Society's Road

by Eden   Sep 29, 2005

So simple...
So misunderstood.
A delicate shadow turned into nightmare by society's whip.
A little wolf hunting in the dark, playing by the river...
...Broken and twisted, left lying in a pool of coagulating blood...
Down by sociaty's road.

Outcast.
Shunned.
A creature of the netherworld, come to hum you to sleep with a soft lull.
A hunter with soft hands and a cold wintry gaze...to sing her love softly to sleep again.

Forsaken.
Forewarned.
A new wing has begun to grow, upon this shadowed peace's spine.
This cream face with the ice-filled stars...
...never changed. Not even for a second.
No more scars.
This creature who is, in fact, me...
...Neverchanging.
Always here to watch for her.
A strong hunter and mighty warrior...
So cunning and devious as she is gentle.
This is me.
So I wait for you.
Gently, I wait for you.
