God gives
then takes away
what more can I say
He gave me a friend
Happy was her name
She became very sick
so my parents took her away

I miss her so
But God doesn't know
He thinks I'm so naive
But God gives, then takes away
His promises shall never stay

He gave me a family
but a few left
All those days I did dread
God gives, then takes away
Will God let me stay happy
for just one day

God gives ,then takes away
