Come Back

by Karin Erlacher   Oct 4, 2005

Aloft the dreams of angels flying
Everywhere I look people are dying
Amongst the fog I see your face
Beautiful, my love, I wish to embrace
Lurking closer, I wish to be seen
Lost in the passion of what we had been
I reach out to touch your glowing arm
I don't feel anything, nothing but harm
You said you'd never leave me, now you're dead
With wings on your back and a halo on your head
I can't even imagine how to feel
This misty midnight may not even be real
Sunlight awakens me, I'm in such a panic
So close to dying, too. I almost had it
I never knew I missed you so much
Still get the chill from that little "touch"
Come back to me, and never leave
I want to be the way we used to be
