The Shadows Of Death

by Anthony   Oct 8, 2005

Running to nowhere,

Running from somewhere.

Bringing mass uncertainty,

Leaving my identity.

The shadow's bearing down on me,

This place is dark and I can't see.

Alone, afraid, my mind is reeling.

This terror, I can't shake this feeling.

All this time, I've just been faking.

Outside, a smile, inside was shaking.

Eyes of red and pointed teeth,

Stare and smile from underneath.

The heart and soul,

No longer whole.

Held down by the darkness

So cold and heartless.

Cut open at my stomach track

Death wants to know if I bleed
Black.

Greeted by that burning smell,

I'm being taken back to hell...

Damn right you're going back to Hell. It's excellent.

    My faviourite line:

"Death wants to know if I bleed
    Black."

    Nice imagery.

I really like this poem, it deffinetly gets your mind wondering and leaves a bit of room for you to put your imagination into it to.
