Stars

by Stephie   Oct 9, 2005

This is a poem that i wrote in conjunction with 2 of my friends for a production we did called "Night Places"

I saw a million shooting stars on the first night.
I used to think that watching from afar was my birth right.
But now where the rocks stop I begin.
At the cliffs top I kick in.
Where the waves crash I wake up.
And when the winds lash I break up.
When the darkness comes my fears and doubts are aroused.
No longer in my heart are they housed.
When the light has come my fears run away.
Now the night is done it's a beautiful day.
