Pity is what will get you

We can see right through
the lies and fake cries
but none of that matters
all you want is pity
we all see how fake you are
you are hated
talked about
frowned upon
all you want is pity
but what you don't get
is that is what will get you in the end
we'll entertain you for a while
but when you get old
we'll stop caring
stop pitying you
that is where you will fall apart
you won't get your attention
you will split in half
and for the first time
that something is really wrong

and make you feel loved
