Two mintues , too late

by Emily parsons   Oct 11, 2005

Youll have to reimburse me, for all the souls you shred
You left them lingering in your breath, and lonely in our bed
I tried to leave it strolling behind, but the lies they took their toll
I pretended not to hate these facts, but you play a deceitful role

While my lips are longing to be touched, and bounded all in you
Another smile lost in this mound of regret, trying to make it through
When you scratch your skin, you cut me too, deep inside my heart
You tried to heal up all these wounds, but they were bleeding from the start

I crawl so slowly away from us, desperately finding somewhere to hide
But then I think of all the hearts youll break, if im I'm not by your side
When you hold your breath, I suffocate too, deep inside my heart
You tried to heal up all these wounds, but Ive been bleeding from the start

    That's very deep dear lady
`But then I think of all the hearts youll break, if im I'm not by your side`
that line seems to be saying you keep by that person to protect others despite yourself...i may be wrong?
