An unwanted breakup

by Tiny Reader   Oct 13, 2005

Cause I can't stand to see you leave,
And I don't want to cry
I'll beg for you not to go
And be selfish for a while.

Cause you have to be there,
But I still need you here
I can't fake a smile or laugh
When all I see is fear.

Cause nothing is anything without you,
And you are the reason I'm me
I know I won't move on
With nothing left to believe.

Cause I don't know of a life not involving you,
I'll pray that you will stay
I'll plead for us to stay together
And I'll die if our love has to fade.

Cause I care for you so much,
And cause of the extent of my love,
It's me that has to end things
It's me that says goodbye.

I really like this theme your dealing with, you handle it very well and convey the emotions in a great way. Id just say the structure in a few places are somewhat odd, but it doesnt seem to detract from the poem, if anything it adds to it. Again, very nice work!
