The writer

I tried to write a poem with all this hidden meaning,
But it just wouldn't flow whilst I was thinking.
So I'm just writing like I usually do.
It may not be great, but it suits me, if not you.

I tried to include long words,
But it didn't sound like me,
So I crossed them out and replaced them
With words that come easily.

You may not think it is clever
To write something simple in every line.
But this is me that's writing,
And it suits me just fine.

    Wow. This to me is an exmaple of real poetry. Expressing true thought and feeling, in whatever way is best and whatever way expresses YOU the most.

    I love it, this poem is amazing. Most people, myself included, try to 'sound' a certain way because that's what they think poetry is, but it's what you want it to be.
