The strength of love

by nickie   Oct 13, 2005

They sat under the stars,
hand in hand.
They walked along the beach,
as their toes tickled in the sand.

A boy fell in love,
and the girl fell too.
They had never loved before,
so to them it was new.

They spent their happiest hours,
in the others arms.
That's where they felt safe,
and out of lifes harm.

They had a passion for living,
and that's just what they did.
Everyone told them "you can't love",
you're only a kid.

That meant nothing to them,
they knew how they felt.
They loved each other
and that's what it was about.

They shared everything together,
the laughs the tears.
The I'll be your best friend,
through out the years.

They were everything,
they had it all.
They had a passion for each other,
and never did they fall.

Yes they did argue,
but even wonderful couples do.
They pledged to love each other forever,
no matter what they went through.

You see it was no ordinary teen crush,
it was real and true.
It was about a boy loving a girl,
and the girl loving him too.

Time went by,
and their feelings started to change.
They grew apart,
and things wern't the same.

They didn't let go,
they held on tight.
They held for as long as possible,
so they could soon see the light.

The girl was hurting,
and the boy wasn't there.
She still loved him,
and he didn't seem to care.

She told him forever,
that she'd never let him go.
Her heart was breaking,
but she'd never let him know.

The boy was driving her home,
from a basketball game.
The girl cried out to him,
I love you but it's just not the same.

The boy started arguing,
he always had to start a fight.
No matter what it was about,
he always had to be right.

She couldn't take it,
her heart was broken enough.
But she took the pain,
and learned how to be tough.

That night when she got home,
she took a walk to the park.
She wanted to get away from everything,
even though it was really dark.

She had no idea,
what was instore.
Sat on the bench and cried,
"I can't take this anymore."

Took out a gun,
placed it to her head.
If the love of her life hadn't showed up,
she would be dead.

He knew something was wrong,
and he was sorry for what he had done.
He loved her more then anything,
and she was his only one.

You see sometimes people hurt us,
and they seem unkind.
But no matter how much they fight,
they're always on each others mind.
