The Beauty and The Beast

by Heather Prior   Oct 18, 2005

Two girls--
One beautiful, smart, kind.
One ugly, dumb, hateful.
Yet they are both one.

The beauty
Smiles when people walk by
While the beast
Frowns inside.

The beast
Cuts away her pain
While the beauty
Screams for help.

Two opposite halves
To make one whole.
To different girls
Fighting to be the one in control.

The beauty
Writes of life
While the beast
Has death in mind.

The beast
Pushes her love away
While the beauty
Calls him back.

Hopefully
The beast will be weakened
If not
The beauty will never make it.
