My Heart.

by Miss Ashley   Oct 19, 2005

You hold my heart within your hands,
Almost as if you understand.
All the pain and hurt I knew,
How my heart is patched with glue.

There it lays weak and unsure,
Can I possibly love once more?
Your words are gentle, caring and kind.
My heart grows stronger with passing time.

And just when the glue started to dry,
You said something that made me cry.
You said you love me, that you'll never leave.
But my heart is no longer that naive.

It's been told that again and again,
Just look at the mess it's found itself in.
And Even though it's you, who holds my heart near,
It can't help but to feel fear.
