The greener side of society,
A concept in our minds supported by governments,
Democracy pushed by patriots screaming equality,
Communism means equality one of their widely missed tenets,
This is how the greener side is born,
Families believing different ideologies bonds being torn,
Equality is always the stem of revolution,
When you feel unrepresented, its the only known solution,
Demorcracy holds the keys to all corruption,
Presidents embezel money and smile at their hero induction,
War is no more a last means in disputes,
But an every day thing,
Murderers brought home to salutes,
Government funded programs station in the third world,
It's called in your face media,
With help lines always in bold,
Rich actors cameo to give you a familiar face,
They beg you for money,
While their cheques stay an empty space,
Sympathy is won for the poor children being hurt,
Day after day sifting through disease filled dirt,
The greener side is they would love to leave their home,
To countries where equality is said to be written in stone,
Never realizing the onward discrimination of the dark,
Seen as a childhood fear but known as a peoples definition and heart,
Our great democracy thats so focused on the people,
Slogans of nationalism like Be all you can be,
Its oh soooooooo meaningful,
Where ignorant people unaware of their rights wave flags,
Red, white, and blue,
Its even on bags,
Send the poorest people to war maybe they wont be missed,
If they find out you'e died your families showered with gifts,
Pacification must be a hidden branch,
Pushing drugs, weed, and alcohol,
How do people have a chance?
A democracy where they'e happier if your dormant,
Who wouldn't want to ignore some one else's torment?
But then aren't they hypocrites,
Saving neighbours but home is something you'll never fix,
You truly can't raise a family on minimum wage,
Philosophers say this is why most of the poor are locked in a cage,
Love is the 'evil' that makes them act,
When you're rich, supporting your family is a load off your back,
Kill democracy still controlled by aristocrats,
The rest of us going back to being human doormats,
Whats the modern Bastille that we can storm?
We're leaving the past only answer is reform,
Innocence in the world will forever be gone,
The greener side is you could always say I'm wrong.
