I'd give you all you need **

by Emily Lynn   Dec 7, 2003

It’s hard for me to see you day after day
And know that you don’t look at me in the same way
I see you in the hall, and you just walk on by
Knowing you don’t care tears me up inside
I’d give you all you need if you’d only let me in
There’s nothing I would not do to have you back again
I’d stand by your side and always be near
There would never be a moment I wouldn’t calm your fears
I’d give you all my trust and put my faith in you
I know you could never let me down in anything you do
You see, I know you… better than the rest
You’ve never failed in my eyes; you’ve passed every test
I wish I could prove to you how much you mean to me
But there’s nothing I can do except hope that you believe
You’re my best friend, and the reason that I smile
You give my life meaning and make it all worthwhile
One day I hope that you’ll look at me again
And see there is more to “us” that just being friends
But if friends is all we are meant to be
Then I thank God that he led you to me.
