Winter is My time

Winter is my time
a time to watch the snow
a time where all is mine
even the wind that blows
for in the pureness of white
reminds me what I still keep
and the sun's shining light
beckons for a weep
In years the falling tears
from the inner pain
darkness so ever near
actions all in vain
It seemed as though I've taken
all my values without care
thinking myself was forsaken
a person I couldn't bare
But as the snow drifts by
I finally realize
the sweet sound of lullaby
that not all were same size
that all a light of their own
a different path they go
for now they have shown
I should not have my sorrow
Cause I am I
never taking that away
not drowning in lies
Now I know what to say
Winter is my time

    Hmm...very sweet...I love it...winter..what is it...from your description...i guess it's your favourite season in a year is it...I had never experience winter...but from your poem...I really can feel it...

    Another very good poem... I loved the emotion behind it! It was beautifully written and I loved it! My favorite lines were:

    "Cause I am I
    never taking that away"
