The Well Traveled Road

by Renee   Oct 24, 2005

Zooming down the vast stretch of steaming concrete
engine vibrating my feet, surrounded by empty seats
The radio speaks of love, but my heart is lost
and I'm fine with not finding it at the moment.

A sea of desert on either side of my horizontal stage
the snakes come out to watch this act of running away
running from reason, ramming straight into my fate
There's no answer to your questions, just accept that you'll die someday.

But for now, that has no meaning.
I'm not living just to know I'll die
the grip on this steering wheel is my best companion
and all that I know are these clouds in the sky.

When being alone doesn't bring you despair,
yes...these are the chemicals that should be in our air.
Never thinking of life as tomorrow, it's simply a long moment.
Don't breathe the exhaust of memories' poison.

It's in these moments, on drives to nerving places
where I find patience within the yellow dotted lines
strewn across a black, well traveled road
moments where happiness is all I remember to know.

E> Beautiful doll. You truly are amazing. No words within this comment space will mean a thing compared to your words.

"I tried to write to you,
But my words weren't as smart as yours were"

Something like that from a song. Reminds me a bit of you. Sorry. Take care hun. Smile. xxx

    Love always,
