Outside where the pines they go for miles
Inside where the walls they sigh and they smile

So I said, don't leave it again

I was not listening
I fell for trappings
They laid in my bed
Never found out where
The love remains in my head

Then I said, you can't leave it again

There was no messege
Not on the other side
Maybe she was too proud
Never found out where
The love remains can be found

I walked the line, where I said; I'll leave it again

Over my head where the silver angels fly
Under my feet where the stones and roots they try

I walk the line, sacrificed my only child

I'm trying to listen
For the ocean roar
Pulling away the signs
But now I've thrown in
The towel too many times

Now the whole dream is gone where
The pines they laugh and they cry
And the signs inside they say the
Love remains so they'll try

My only child, give that to her
