Walking in the rain

by Bradley Peter   Oct 25, 2005

Here i walk in the rain
on this black tarmac floor
I'm alone once again
and shall be forever more

for each drop that hits my skin
at that moment I'm alive
I'm filled with the thought within
that maybe i can survive

but this is a long road
and i have many obstacles to pass
i alone must bare the load
until i set foot on fresh grass

I'm soaked to the bone
and i can barely see the street
my clothes seem like stone
and i feel closer to defeat

but i know that grass nears
so i continue to soldier on
let the rain flood my fears
and let my troubles be gone
