My Heart Filled With Regret

by Jaime   Oct 25, 2005

Sometimes we may promise
To go see those far away
But there always is tomorrow
So why bother go today?

But tomorrow isn't a given
As we too often mistake
It's merely a game of chance
With our loved ones at stake

Tragedies can not be controlled
Natural disasters may hit
However, we control our own actions
And our promises to visit

I didn't know to come down
I would've if I could've, it's true
Now I sit here wondering
Why I never did see you:

A little boy with autism
The cousin I never met
The fire in the grocery store
My heart filled with regret

P.S. i did mean waht i said at the end of 'live the lie' but after my recent accident that's all changed. You can read about it in 'oh what a day'.

P.P.S thanks for your offer on talking to you if i need it, but i find realesing through my poems is the best way to let it out
