Who Are You?

by Karla Gordon   Oct 28, 2005

We had love that was so sweet
Confessing to each another's souls
Believing you with all my heart
Cherishing all we had become
Thinking in you I had found
A true love with no bounds

Foolishly trusting and not seeing
A man being so untrue
Thrusting hateful words and anger Trembling in disbelieve and hurt
Inside breaking, pain so strong
Shredding soul, numbing heart

In your arms I want to be
Touching, caressing, feeling
Being what you were before
A man with the sweetest heart
You threw our love away
Casting it to the depths of a river
Flowing far away and out of sight.
