Walking With Me

by Karla Gordon   May 1, 2006

Sitting in the park today
My thoughts were full of you
Dreaming you were with me
Sharing the sweetness of the day.

Heat of the sun upon my body
Felt like your warmth so very close
Soft breeze blowing across my face
Was your hand caressing me.

I picked a flower drinking in its scent
Wondering how you would smell
Laying my head upon your chest
Needing the comfort of your skin.

Slowly walking through the park
I felt your hand holding mine
Sharing the beauty of the day
Talking and sharing our hearts.

We live worlds apart
But I feel like you are by my side
Your hand upon my shoulder
As I take you along with me.
