First Meeting

by Karla Gordon   Oct 30, 2005

Shy, embarrassed at our first meeting
My eyes are lowered to the floor
Across the room you come to me
Gently reaching out and touching
Lifting my face, looking to my soul
Our eyes lock and there you are
Your the man I have always known
The one I have shared all my secrets
Comfort overcomes me with ease
My heart is beating, weak in the knees
Softly, sweetly caressing my skin
You lean to me, I drink you in
The longing and emotions so strong
Brushing my mouth with tenderness
Your arms pull me to your body
Holding me, we stand cheek to cheek
Strength of our love everlasting strong
Days and nights we have waited
To feel each others tender touch
Lips embraced and love glowing warm
Pulling me close, we stand as one
Closing my eyes I sense your passion
Our love consumes me completely.
