It's too late...

by DistantKisses   Oct 30, 2005

I'm so cold and sweaty.Sharp pains shoot through my chest and travel down my spine.I want to scream out in pain, but find no voice.I feel a hand lay its self on my forehead.I can smell the sweet smell of roses.I hear someone whispering sweet words to me.I try hard to lift my eyes open, but they're weighed down with sleep.

I manage to open my eyes and see a sweet familiar face staring down at me. It's the face of a woman, one I know well. She is my mother.I look at the time and see it's 3:00 in the morning.

Her eyes fix on me;worry expressed in them.I try to speak, but my mouth is too dry. I gasp for air and feel the hot tears that fall from my mother's eyes on my cheeks. My lungs feel like they're shrinking inside of me.

My mother lays herself beside me on the bed.She moves me so my head rests on her soft breasts. It has been along time since I laid like this. "I won't die until I see him again, mom." I breath out.My lips tremble at the thought of never seeing him again.I feel sleepy and my eyes begin to close.Everything begins to shut down.

I feel a cold gust of wind enter the room.I hear him call my name, but I have no energy to do anything about it.I let go of my last breath.

For now I am no longer with them.My mother,so sweet, and my lover, so kind. It's too late to say anything,except... good-bye...
