Darkness

Darkness

I continue to walk this road, my road. It is plagued with death and sorrow, but that is all
I've ever known. Now something else has come into my life, the first time I saw her, I
thought it was a dream. Then again maybe it is a dream, and I wish I would wake up from
it. I keep feeling two emotions, love and hate. My love for her is strong, but my head keeps telling me it's not going to last, but my heart still keeps hope, and it is a fool's hope. It is too late for some, even so, it was never meant to be. A shadow and a beautiful flower. Someday it will end and that part of the road would be full of light, and life, but I begin the think I was better off only knowing darkness, for it is my home.
